Your data

Privacy Policy

How Amplevo collects, stores, and uses your information. Written in plain English.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Amplevo ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. If anything below is unclear, email us at privacy@amplevo.com.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide

  • Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), and billing details if you subscribe to a paid plan.
  • Workspace content: the websites, brand names, topics and prompts you configure inside Amplevo.
  • Support messages: content of emails and messages you send us.

1.2 Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data: pages viewed, features used, timestamps, and clicks — to improve the product and spot bugs.
  • Device & network: IP address, browser, OS, and approximate location (derived from IP).
  • Cookies: see our Cookie Policy for details.

1.3 Information from third parties

  • Payment providers (Stripe): we receive confirmation that a charge succeeded, the last four digits of your card, and billing address. We never see your full card number.
  • OAuth providers (Google, Apple): if you sign in with them, we receive your email address and name.

2. How we use your information

  • Provide the service — run rank checks on your behalf, store the results, show them in your dashboard.
  • Account management — authenticate you, process payments, respond to support requests.
  • Product improvement — aggregate usage patterns to decide what to build next. You can opt out.
  • Communication — transactional emails (receipts, alerts), and — only if you opted in — product news.
  • Security & fraud prevention — detect abuse, enforce rate limits, investigate incidents.
  • Legal obligations — comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.

3. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, xAI, DeepSeek, Meta) — we send them the prompts you configure (not your personal account data) to run rank checks. Their data practices are governed by their own policies.
  • Infrastructure providers — cloud hosting, database hosting, CDN, email delivery. All bound by data-processing agreements.
  • Payment processor — Stripe, for billing.
  • Analytics providers — privacy-respecting analytics to understand product usage.
  • Legal authorities — when required by a valid legal request.
  • Successors — if Amplevo is acquired or merged, your data may transfer with the same protections.

4. Where your data is stored

We store data in secure, SOC 2 compliant data centers. Depending on your region, this may involve cross-border transfers to countries outside the EU/EEA or your home jurisdiction. When we transfer personal data internationally, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

5. How long we keep your data

  • Account data: as long as your account is active, plus up to 90 days after deletion.
  • Workspace content and rank-check history: same as your account.
  • Billing records: as long as required by tax law in the relevant jurisdiction (typically 7 years).
  • Backups: rotated out within 30 days.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent (where we rely on consent)
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

To exercise any of these, email privacy@amplevo.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

7. Children

Amplevo is not designed for or directed at children under 16. If you believe we've collected information from a child, contact us and we'll delete it.

8. Security

We take security seriously. Read the details on our Security page. No system is 100% secure — if you spot an issue, report it to security@amplevo.com.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Amplevo evolves. Material changes will be announced by email and posted here at least 30 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date below always reflects the current version.

10. Contact
